Môn học thuộc khối kiến thức chuyên ngành. Nội dung môn học được thiết kế theo chủ đề và theo quá trình Sinh học, kết hợp với các kỹ thuật dạy học đặc thù giúp cho sinh viên dễ dàng tiếp cận các thuật ngữ Sinh học bằng tiếng Anh thông qua 4 kỹ năng ngôn ngữ: nghe - nói - đọc - viết. Sau khi hoàn thành môn học, sinh viên có khả năng tìm kiếm, đọc hiểu được tài liệu tiếng Anh, nghe hiểu được các thước phim về quá trình sinh học nhằm hỗ trợ cho việc giảng dạy hay học tập cao hơn.

Học phần giới thiệu cho sinh viên về một số bệnh hại chính trên các nhóm cây lương thực, cây rau màu, cây ăn trái và cây công nghiệp theo từng nhóm nguyên nhân. Trong đó, học phần cung cấp các kiến thức về tác nhân gây bệnh, đặc điểm phát sinh phát triển, triệu chứng của bệnh và biện pháp quản lý bệnh một cách hiệu quả vừa bảo vệ được năng suất, phẩm chất cây trồng vừa bảo vệ được môi trường.

Học phần này trang bị cho sinh viên kỹ thuật ứng dụng thống kê trong nghiên cứu chuyên ngành, từ đó giúp sinh viên có khả năng thực hiện thí nghiệm một cách độc lập, biết cách xử lý và phân tích số liệu, giải thích kết quả một cách hợp lý và có khoa học. Học phần còn trang bị kiến thức về việc ứng dụng các phần mềm thống kê nông nghiệp cơ bản. Kết thúc môn học sinh viên ngành khoa học cây trồng có thể bố trí một thí nghiệm chuyên ngành ngoài thực tế và có khả năng tính toán và đánh giá kết quả cuối cùng.

Học phần nhằm giới thiệu cho sinh viên kiến thức và kỹ năng công nghệ thông tin (CNTT) cần thiết trong việc giảng dạy tiếng Anh thời kỳ cách mạng công nghệ 4.0. Sinh viên được tiếp cận những ứng dụng công nghệ giáo dục hiện đại, từ đó lựa chọn ứng dụng và tài nguyên phù hợp để thiết kế hoạt động dạy học hoặc bài giảng tiếng Anh. Cụ thể, sinh viên thực hành lập kế hoạch nội dung cho bài giảng điện tử; chỉnh sửa tệp âm thanh, hình ảnh và video; thiết kế bài dạy từ vựng, ngữ pháp, các kỹ năng ngôn ngữ; thiết kế trò chơi giáo dục bằng PowerPoint; xây dựng lớp học trực tuyến và tổ chức hoạt động thảo luận trực tuyến.

This intensive course, including 15 periods of theory and 15 of practice, provides learners with theories and step-by-step practices on practical presentation skills into communicative activities for English majors. Such issues as the Physical Message (posture, eye contact, gestures, and voice inflection), the Visual Message (how to create effective PowerPoint slides, how to use and explain visuals), the Story Message (how to structure a speech, engage the audience, use evidence, summarize a speech), and dealing with the audience's questions are introduced and performed in class. Individual and group work activities are assigned to acquire essential skills and techniques in specific situations.
